Through support from the City of Gold Coast Active & Healthy Program and Division 1 Councillor Donna Gates, The Heights central park will host an Active & Healthy program.

Each week, Gecko Sports will commence children's fitness and movement classes on Monday mornings from 9:30 – 10:15am. This program is for pre-school aged children and will practice fundamental gross motor skills such as kicking, catching and throwing. No bookings required. See you there.

The Helensvale Farmer's Market is on every Saturday from 6-11 am. Grab a freshly made coffee and wander through the expansive market featuring locally grown fruit and vegetables, freshly baked bread, gourmet meats, nuts, local honey, and sweet treats.  Located at Helensvale State High School, 243 Discovery Drive, Helensvale. 



The northern Gold Coast is shaking up the coffee scene with a great selection of mouth watering cafes to help kick start your mornings. Our top picks include:

Whistlestop Café, Pimpama - This little local gem feels like a quaint countryside cafe with it's long rustic tables and homely feel. Serving great coffee and delicious food all day long,  Whistlestop Café is only 5 minutes away, on 88 Pimpama-Jacobs Well Rd.

The Galley Cafe is a rare find. Located at the Marina in Coomera, it's decked out in reclaimed timber and nautical theme interiors. Besides the coffee, the homemade cakes by Irina, a quality pastry chef who trained in France, is a must try for every visit.

Spend the night out with family or friends under the stars at the drive-in. The Yatala Drive-In offers a refreshingly unique experience that appeals to the young and old alike.

The Yatala Drive-In is open 7 nights per week and shows all the latest blockbusters. Located on 100 Stapylton Jacobs Well Road, Stapylton.



The Coombabah Lakelands conservation area protects more than 1200 hectares of wetland, eucalypt forest, and mangrove habitat. Along the various walking trails spot koalas, owls, grey-headed flying foxes, and kangaroos. Located on Brisbane Road, Coombabah.



Harrigan’s Drift Inn is an authentic Irish pub experience complete with water views and live music. Located on Harrigan’s Lane, Jacobs Well.


Tamborine National Park

At every turn you will encounter breathtaking scenery, abundant wildlife, and clean mountain air.

Spend the day enjoying handmade cheese and sipping on a glass of the best local red wine or perhaps, take on one of the six waking tracks of the Tamborine National Park. With the National Park only 35 minutes away, it's time to take the scenic route.

Yatala Pies has been a landmark in the Gold Coast region for more than 130 years. From humble beginnings as a small pie shop, Yatala Pies now sells over 3,500 pies daily. 

Drop by and taste its famous favourites from the classic Chunky Steak or Steak and Mushroom, or for something a little different, try the Lamb Coconut Curry pie.  Located exit 38  North off the M1 on 48 Old Pacific Hwy.


Jacobs Well Jetty

Positioned overlooking the southern end of Moreton Bay and the Broadwater, Jacobs Well jetty is one of the best in the area. It's family friendly, with a sandy bottom, swimming enclosure and nearby facilities to stock up on bait or a bite to eat.
